This Chattanooga watercolor print shows the pale blue Walnut Street Bridge stretching across the Tennessee River, with Lookout Mountain on the horizon. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Chattanooga, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines define the humped steel truss and the stone piers, and the turquoise river reflects the piers below. The palette blends sky blue, turquoise and green with downtown brick red and stone beige, plus small red, yellow and blue kayaks. The bridge runs diagonally from the lower left toward the center, while the Hunter Museum of American Art and its classical columns sit on the limestone bluff to the left. Brick buildings line the south shore, the flat-topped ridge of Lookout Mountain fades to violet-blue behind, and a grassy park with a walkway fills the foreground. It is late spring, and the left edge melts into ochre, moss and violet with long drips. "CHATTANOOGA" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Paddlewheel boat. A white riverboat with a red paddlewheel cruises past the piers.
- Bridge full of walkers. Crowds stroll the pedestrian bridge while cyclists and bench-sitters line the riverwalk.
- Diagonal depth. The high, angled view along the bridge draws the eye from the park to the mountain.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Its blues, greens and brick tones work in a living room, a cabin-style den or a hallway gallery wall. It is a good gift for someone who grew up near the river or has just moved to Chattanooga.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Chattanooga? No. It is an artistic interpretation, and some buildings along the south shore are simplified or added for the composition.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "CHATTANOOGA," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
