This Burlington, Vermont watercolor print looks down the Church Street Marketplace to a red brick meeting house with a white steeple, framed by fall maples. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Burlington, Vermont, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Red, orange and gold maple washes are layered thickly on both sides, with thin red-orange drips at the lower left and orange, red and blue splatter around the edges. Fine ink lines outline the white steeple and the brick rows. The palette is maple red, pumpkin orange and gold with brick red buildings, plus a white steeple, green copper roofs and a hint of distant blue water. The red brick church with its white bell tower sits at the very center at the end of the street, viewed from above along the pedestrian mall, with Victorian brick buildings and awnings on both sides. Blue-violet mountains and a lake fill the far background, and brick paving with flower pots, benches and café tables fills the front at the height of fall color. "BURLINGTON" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Maple canopy. Red, orange and gold maples arch over the street on both sides.
- Street musician. A busker with a guitar and an open case plays near the café tables.
- Pedestrian mall. People in flannel stroll the brick street past potted mums and outdoor seating.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

Styling it at home
Its warm reds and oranges are a cozy match for a cabin living room, a reading corner or a kitchen with butcher-block counters. It's a fitting gift for someone who went to college in Burlington or anyone who loves a New England fall.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Burlington, Vermont? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Church Street. The lake and mountains in the background are placed for the composition and do not match the real view from this spot.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "BURLINGTON," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
