This Brooklyn watercolor print shows a row of brownstone townhouses on a tree-lined street in Brooklyn Heights, with magnolias and cherry trees in bloom. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the neighborhood, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines draw the bracketed cornices, window frames and iron stoop railings, while magnolia and cherry blossoms are soft pink dots layered over bare white paper. The palette is chocolate brownstone, blossom pink and fresh green, with red brick houses and pink-red tulips as accents. Four-story brownstones with high stoops fill the left half, red brick houses mix in, and the street runs down the block to the pointed steeple of a Gothic Revival brownstone church on the right. A brick sidewalk, iron fences, tree pits and a lamppost fill the foreground, with Brooklyn rooftops and spires fading behind. It is mid spring with the trees in full bloom, and pink drips run down from the lower left corner into a white paper border. "BROOKLYN" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Classic stoops. High stone stoops with black iron railings and planters of tulips line the street.
- Spring blossoms. Pink magnolias and cherry trees soften the deep brown facades.
- Neighborhood moments. A dog walker, children on a stoop and a cyclist give the block a calm, lived-in feel.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The pink, brown and green palette is a lovely fit for a bedroom, nursery or cozy living room with blush, cream or walnut tones. It is a sweet gift for someone who once lived in a Brooklyn brownstone, or for a couple celebrating their first home. Pair it with our New York City watercolor print for a two-piece set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Brooklyn? No. It is an artistic interpretation of a Brooklyn Heights street, painted to capture the feel of the neighborhood rather than one exact address.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "BROOKLYN," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
