This Brighton watercolor print shows the onion domes and slender minarets of the Royal Pavilion above the lawns of Pavilion Gardens, with the sea and Brighton Palace Pier in the distance. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Brighton, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The cream domes are kept close to white paper, with brown ink tracing every rib, spire and carved screen. Flower beds are dabbed thickly in pink, purple and white, the left edge bleeds orange-pink with long drips, and blue drips fall on the right. Cream stucco, garden green and distant sea blue lead the palette, with pink and purple flowers and blue-and-white striped deckchairs as accents. The Pavilion sits right of center, a glass-roofed dome rises on the left, Regency terraces with iron balconies stand behind, and the foreground is lawn with cordyline palms, flower beds and iron railings. The sea and the pier shine in sunny summer light. "BRIGHTON" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Deckchairs on the lawn. People lounge in striped deckchairs while children play on the grass.
- Indo-Islamic detail. Domes, minarets and carved screens are drawn with close attention.
- Seaside touches. Gulls overhead and the pier on the horizon tie the garden to the coast.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Cream, green and soft pink suit a bright living room, a bedroom or a sunny hallway. It is a cheerful gift for anyone who grew up in Sussex or loves a seaside day out.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Brighton? No. This is an artistic interpretation of Brighton, combining the Pavilion, the gardens and the pier into one watercolor-style view.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "BRIGHTON," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
