This Boise watercolor print looks from Platt Gardens down Capitol Boulevard to the domed Idaho State Capitol, with the Boise foothills behind. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Boise, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The capitol is washed in pale sandstone cream, with fine ink lines drawing its columns and the eagle on top of the dome. Street trees are dabbed in fresh green, the lily pond is a reflective blue, and wisteria and roses bloom in pink and violet, with drips at the lower left. The palette is new-leaf green, capitol cream and distant blue-violet hills, with pink and purple garden flowers and red brick as accents. The domed capitol sits at center at the end of a straight boulevard, seen from a raised garden, with brick buildings and low towers on both sides, the violet foothills behind, and a formal garden with a wisteria arbor and a small bridge over a lily pond in front. It is late spring, with fresh leaves and flowers in bloom. "BOISE" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Wisteria arbor. Purple wisteria drapes over stone columns at the garden's edge.
- Ducks on the lily pond. Ducks paddle among lily pads while a visitor watches from a small iron bridge.
- Straight-on capitol view. The long, tree-lined boulevard leads the eye directly to the dome.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.

- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Soft greens, cream and lavender suit a bright living room, a bedroom or an office with light wood. Give it as a housewarming gift for a new Boise resident or to a garden lover with Idaho roots.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Boise? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Boise that brings the garden, boulevard and capitol into one frame.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "BOISE," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
