This Baltimore watercolor print shows the tall-masted USS Constellation in the Inner Harbor, with the World Trade Center tower and the glass pyramids of the National Aquarium beyond. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Baltimore, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The harbor water is a deep blue wash with bright streaks of untouched paper, and fine ink lines draw the ship's tangle of rigging. Green and yellow trees in front drip in green and pink at the lower left. The colors are deep harbor blue and warehouse brick red, with the black hull, a yellow water taxi and a teal copper roof as accents. The ship sits left of center with its masts reaching the top, while the trade center tower and aquarium sit right of center, seen at an angle from high ground across the harbor. A curving brick promenade with trees fills the foreground on a late-spring day. "BALTIMORE" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Historic tall ship. The masts and rigging are drawn in fine ink, with an American flag at the stern.
- Harbor color. A green dragon paddle boat and a yellow water taxi brighten the blue water.
- Brick promenade. People stroll a curved brick walk lined with lamp posts in the foreground.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Navy blue and brick red pair well with a coastal living room, a nautical kids' room or a den with leather and wood. It is a fun pick for a Marylander, a sailor or a couple who got engaged by the harbor.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Baltimore? No. It is an artistic watercolor interpretation of the Inner Harbor, made to capture its color and activity rather than every building.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "BALTIMORE," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
