This Aspen watercolor print shows the Maroon Bells reflected in still Maroon Lake, with golden aspens lining the valley. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Aspen, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The twin peaks are built from diagonal bands of red-brown rock and snow left as bare paper. The lake is a smooth wash reflecting the mountains and gold trees, with thin yellow and pink drips at the lower left and yellow and violet splatter at the edges. Bright aspen gold, deep spruce green and maroon rock make up the palette, with blue water and red-purple shrubs as accents. The two peaks stand at the center reaching the top, with a V-shaped valley of aspen and spruce on each side and the calm lake in the middle. Rocky shore, golden grass, hikers and a mule deer fill the foreground in early fall, when the aspens turn. "ASPEN" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it

- Wildlife moment. A mule deer with antlers grazes at the water's edge.
- Trail details. A photographer with a tripod and two hikers with red packs take in the view.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

Styling it at home
Gold, spruce green and maroon are a warm match for a lodge-style living room, a bedroom or an office with leather and wood. It's a lovely gift for a skier, a couple who married in the mountains or anyone who chases fall color.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Aspen? No. It is an artistic watercolor interpretation of the Maroon Bells, meant to capture the feeling of fall in the Rockies rather than a photo-exact view.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "ASPEN," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
