An Antelope Canyon illustrated print that looks straight up the slot at the moment the light reaches the floor. Rust and copper sandstone closes in from both edges, carved into ribbon layers by flash floods. A pale shaft of sun drops through the gap onto the sand, a far mesa shows blue-green through the opening, and a wedge of deep sky with piled cumulus sits overhead.
About the artwork
This is the painterly version of the canyon rather than a flat graphic one. The rock is built from dense directional line work, thick contour edges and long tonal blends that run burnt orange into copper, terracotta and an almost black shadow along the left wall. Sage and olive scrub sits on the sandy floor at the bottom, cobalt and cream fill the sky slot above, and the falling light is painted as a soft column rather than a hard beam. The lettering runs across the base of the sheet: ANTELOPE CANYON in bold white caps above a widely spaced ARIZONA. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The light shaft is the subject. Most canyon prints show the walls; this one is built around the single column of sun that only lands for part of the day.
- Warm rock, cool sky. The orange-to-cobalt contrast gives the piece a natural focal point from across a room.
- Depth you can read. The far mesa through the gap keeps the corridor from flattening out.
- For people who booked the tour. The narrow upward view is exactly what a walk through the lower canyon looks like.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The terracotta and copper range sits well against warm white, clay or soft camel walls, and it picks up oak, teak and rattan without any help. It works in the cream sofa and tropical plant room in the photographs above, where the sky blue answers the black window frames. In a cooler grey room, hang it near something brass or leather so the orange has a partner.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a sideboard or a bed, 18" x 24" or 24" x 36" holds the wall. In a hallway or beside a window, 12" x 18" is enough. The vertical shape suits narrow wall sections.
Does it come framed? Paper ships rolled and unframed. Matte canvas arrives stretched and ready to hang. Framed canvas comes in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
What does the poster say? The type at the bottom reads ANTELOPE CANYON with ARIZONA underneath. Nothing else is printed on the sheet.
Is there another Antelope Canyon design in this shop? Yes. We sell a second Antelope Canyon piece drawn in a flat vector style: simplified colour blocks, clean edges, no shading, and the place name set across the top of the sheet. This one is the painted version, with layered brushwork, deeper shadow and the lettering at the bottom.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
