An Amarillo, Texas travel poster built around one building and one field. A red brick setback tower climbs the middle of the frame, stepping back twice to a Gothic-arched crown and a small silver-domed lantern, with a low wing of shops and awnings running off to the right. In front of it, a broad sweep of dry Panhandle grass fills the bottom third.
About the artwork
Vector illustration with crisp architectural drawing and a hand-drawn grass field. The colour is deliberately narrow: a flat teal-blue sky, brick that shifts from bright orange-red in the sun to deep rust in shadow, teal-glazed windows, and a foreground of wheat gold and honey. Every window mullion, pier and pinnacle on the tower is drawn in, so the building reads as texture from a distance and detail up close. Type sits in the sky in white: AMARILLO with TEXAS spaced beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Panhandle, not generic Texas — tall grass and one brick landmark, no cowboy shorthand.
- Strong two-colour idea — burnt orange brick against a flat teal sky, held down by a gold grass field.
- Architectural detail worth hanging close — arches, setbacks and the domed lantern are all drawn, not suggested.
- Warm without being loud — the gold foreground softens the whole print in evening light.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — stretched canvas in a solid wood floating frame, in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Burnt orange and gold make this a warm-room print. It is very much at home on the terracotta wall in the photographs above, and equally good on cream or clay paint with leather and rattan. On cool grey walls the teal sky takes over and the brick reads brighter. Natural oak or espresso frames suit it better than black.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The grass and the brickwork both carry fine line work. 18" x 24" is a good desk or hallway size; 24" x 36" and up for a main wall.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. The framed canvas option arrives in a solid wood floating frame, wired and ready to hang.
What does the poster say? AMARILLO across the top with TEXAS in smaller spaced capitals below. No other lettering appears in the design.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
