This Acorn Street Boston watercolor print shows the narrow cobblestone lane on Beacon Hill in Boston under a light dusting of winter snow. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of the street, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines draw black shutters, door frames, gas lamps and each rounded cobblestone. Snow is left as white paper on the steps, windowsills, rooftops and street. The lane slopes straight down the middle from the top of the street, lined on both sides by Federal-style red-brick row houses with window boxes. A black door with a brass knocker, a snowy stoop and a glowing gas lamp sit in the left foreground, while rooftops, a church steeple and a distant gold dome fill the background. Red-orange, green and violet washes run off the sides with drips and splatter. "BOSTON" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Cozy winter details. A couple walks a small yellow dog, and a tabby cat sits on a snowy step.
- Ivy and berries. An ivy wreath with red berries frames a doorway beside a warm gas lamp.
- Brick and snow. Deep brick red, white snow and green ivy create a warm, wintry palette.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

Styling it at home
The brick reds and snowy whites look right in an entryway, a den or a living room with warm wood and plaid. It is a charming holiday or housewarming gift for someone who lived in Boston. Pair it with our Boston watercolor print for a two-piece set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Acorn Street Boston? No. It is an artistic watercolor interpretation of Acorn Street, and some background buildings are simplified or rearranged.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "BOSTON," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
