A farmers market wall art print: two artichokes on long cut stems, drawn in thick black line over off-register green, with You have my HEART brushed in red.
About the artwork
Each layer of bracts is outlined separately in heavy black, with short strokes inside the leaves standing in for the veining. Underneath, a solid grass-green block slides off the line in several places, the way a second screen lands when it is not quite aligned — the misregistration is the point of the print, not a fault in it. The two heads sit on the diagonal, the smaller one above right and the larger below left, each still carrying a long stem cut at an angle. A red oval label reading artichoke is stuck between them.
Why you'll love it
- A vegetable worth drawing. Artichokes have structure that lemons do not.
- Three inks, deliberately misaligned. Black, green and vermilion.
- A quiet pun. The heart of an artichoke, said once and left alone.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The heavy black outline means this one survives being hung small and still reads from across a room at large sizes, so it is unusually flexible. Kitchens, pantries and dining walls all suit it, and it sits well beside the other green market prints. Black frames double the outline; natural oak gives the green more room.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What does it say? You have my HEART, with a small oval label reading artichoke.
Why is the green not lined up? It is printed that way on purpose, to imitate a misregistered screen print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
