A Wormsloe Historic Site poster standing in the middle of the oak avenue and looking straight down it. Two ranks of live oaks lean in from either side, their heavy limbs crossing overhead to close the road into a green tunnel, and long grey curtains of Spanish moss hang from every branch. The sandy road runs dead centre to a bright opening far in the distance, its surface broken into patches of sun and blue-grey shadow.
About the artwork
Hard-edged illustration with dense, layered foliage shapes and fine bark texturing on the trunks and limbs, so the trees carry real weight rather than reading as silhouettes. The greens are layered carefully: acid lime where sun hits the canopy, mid emerald in the mass of leaves, deep olive and near-black in the shaded interior. Against that sit bronze and umber bark, silver-sage moss, a scattering of pale blue sky through the gaps, and a bleached grey-tan road dappled with warm light. The title is set in white capitals near the top, SAVANNAH above GEORGIA. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- One-point perspective — the road runs straight to a lit vanishing point, which gives the print unusual depth on a wall.
- Spanish moss done properly — drawn strand by strand rather than smudged, and it is what makes the scene unmistakably coastal Georgia.
- Green from top to bottom — a full range of greens in one image, restful in a bedroom or a reading corner.
- For anyone who has driven the avenue — the entrance drive to Wormsloe is a set piece people remember for years.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
This is a deeply green print, so it belongs on walls that let it breathe: cream, warm white, or the sage green shown in the photographs above, where the wall and the canopy sit in the same family. A walnut or espresso frame picks up the bark tones and suits a panelled dining room. Beside real plants and rattan it reads almost like a window.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The depth of the avenue is the whole appeal, so 24" x 36" or 30" x 40" above a sofa or bed gives it room. At 16" x 24" the tunnel still reads well in a hallway.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. The framed canvas option arrives in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural, ready to hang.
What does the poster say? The printed lettering reads SAVANNAH with GEORGIA beneath it. Wormsloe is not printed on the artwork, so if you want the site named on the wall you would need a label or plaque.
How is this different from the Savannah square prints? Forsyth Park and Jones Street are inside the historic district, with fountains, railings and townhouses. This is the oak avenue on the Isle of Hope, several miles southeast of downtown, and it has no architecture in it at all.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
