This White Sands National Park watercolor print shows rolling white gypsum dunes and a tall soaptree yucca, with the San Andres Mountains on the horizon. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the New Mexico park, not an exact view.
About the artwork
The dunes are mostly bare white paper, shaded only with cool blue-violet on their hidden slopes and faint brushstrokes for the wind ripples. Fine grey-green ink lines draw the yucca leaves. A large yucca with a tall flower stalk stands on the left, and the rippled dunes fill the middle of the print. The San Andres Mountains sit in blue-violet across the basin, and the foreground slope carries footprints and a lizard, seen from a dune crest. It is the lightest and most minimal print in the series, almost two-tone white and blue, set in warm early autumn under clear skies, with blue and yellow washes and long drips at the lower corners. "WHITE SANDS" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Minimal white palette. Gypsum white and pale blue shadows create a quiet, airy print that works with almost any decor.
- Sledding on the dunes. Two small figures slide down a slope while a family walks across the sand.
- Soaptree yucca bloom. Creamy flower clusters top the yucca's slender stalk above the dunes.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Its soft white and pale blue palette fits a minimalist living room, a bright bedroom or an office with light wood and neutral tones. Give it to someone who went dune sledding in New Mexico, or to a desert lover adding a quiet print to a gallery wall.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of White Sands National Park? No. It is an artistic interpretation of the dune field, with the yuccas, mountains and figures placed for the composition rather than copied from one spot.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "WHITE SANDS," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
