This Washington DC flower market wall art print frames the Capitol and Washington Monument with cherry blossom in full bloom. It is a stylized, imaginative take on Washington DC — an artistic interpretation inspired by the city, not a literal view of its monuments.
About the artwork
A digital watercolor-and-gouache-style illustration with ink outlines. The United States Capitol and the Washington Monument stand at upper center above a reflecting pool. Navy cherry blossom trunks frame both sides, with pink blossoms spreading overhead and dense flowers filling the bottom under a pale blue sky. "FLOWER MARKET" sits on top in coral-red serif capitals, with "Washington" handwritten in blue-violet below.
Why you'll love it
- Cherry blossom season. Pink blossoms capture the city's best-loved spring moment.
- Capital icons. The Capitol and Washington Monument anchor the view.
- Classic color story. Pink and red blooms against navy trunks and blue sky feel quietly patriotic.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
A strong fit for a living room, home office or hallway. Pair it with navy, blush and white for a classic look. A great gift for a DC local, a public-service friend or anyone who has seen the blossoms in person.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Washington DC? No. It is a stylized, imaginative interpretation of Washington DC. You see the Capitol, the Washington Monument and a reflecting pool framed by cherry blossom trees, arranged for the poster rather than mapped exactly.
What text is printed on it? It reads "FLOWER MARKET" at the top, then "CITIES & FLOWERS COLLECTION" and "NO.034" beneath the artwork, with "Washington" handwritten in script at the bottom.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
