A Virgin Islands National Park WPA poster of a hillside view through palms down to a curving white-sand beach and a turquoise, reef-filled bay, with forested headlands and distant cays, set inside a cream border. The top line reads U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS · 18.33°N, 64.73°W · ESTABLISHED 1956; below the picture, VIRGIN ISLANDS NATIONAL PARK in deep teal slab lettering, with the National Park Service bison seal.
About the artwork
Dark palms and foliage frame the view, and the eye follows the white beach around the turquoise bay out to the distant islands. You can see the reef through the clear water. About 60 percent of St. John lies inside the park, along with the reef offshore.
Why you'll love it
- Caribbean blue. Turquoise and palm green suit beach houses, bathrooms and bedrooms.
- A finished edge built in. The cream margin gives it a framed look even in a thin frame.
- Thirteen sizes. From a desk shelf up to a full feature wall.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, color-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
White walls, rattan and turquoise textiles suit it. Pale oak framing keeps the island feel.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the color, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? 16" x 24" and up if it hangs alone; 12" x 18" works inside a gallery wall of several parks.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
How is this different from your other Virgin Islands prints? This is the cream-bordered WPA poster: palms framing a white beach and turquoise bay, with the park’s coordinates across the top. The vintage travel poster is a separate full-bleed design with white lettering; the screen print, retro, mid-century, panoramic, oil, watercolor, illustrated and landmark Virgin Islands prints are separate designs too.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
