This farmers market wall art print shows a branch of tomatoes in simple red and green brush strokes, under a big TOMATO heading with a short encyclopedia-style note below.
About the artwork
Thick, simple brush strokes in red and green outline every shape with no fill. It is a minimal produce poster in an encyclopedia spirit, with a bold sans serif heading and a handwritten paragraph. Red rings, olive green stems and deep green lettering sit on plain cream with no border. TOMATO runs large across the top, the cluster crosses the middle on a diagonal, and a five-line paragraph fills the lower quarter.
Why you'll love it
- Seven open circles. Seven tomatoes are drawn as hollow red rings along one diagonal branch.
- Stem meets text. The stem dips down across the words widely, fruits and includes, tying the picture to the paragraph.
- A little botany note. The handwritten text covers the tomato's plant family, its South American roots and its place in kitchens worldwide.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it above an herb shelf, near the produce basket or in a farmhouse kitchen with open shelving. The red and olive green suit sage cabinets and butcher block, and a thin black or oak frame keeps it crisp. It reads well in a farm-to-table restaurant too.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What does it say? TOMATO, followed by: Tomatoes are versatile and widely consumed fruits that belong to the Solanaceae family, which also includes potatoes, eggplants, and peppers. Native to South America, they were first domesticated by the Aztecs and Incas. Today, tomatoes are a staple in cuisines worldwide.
Are the tomatoes filled in? No. Each tomato is a hollow red brush ring, which keeps the look light and minimal.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
