About the artwork

Navy on light blue, one ink throughout. A single tall spike carries its pea-shaped flowers in tiers from the base to the tip, and below it the foliage opens into whorls of narrow palmate leaflets. A fern ornament fills the lower-left corner and the 1¢ denomination sits in a circle opposite. The perforated edge is drawn as real die-cut scallops on a plain cream sheet, so the stamp sits on the page as an object. Portrait, 2:3.

Styling it at home
