A Tenby travel poster taken from the sand: a wide golden beach curving up from the bottom of the sheet, the harbour wall and calm teal water on the left, and the wooded headland with its ruined stone tower rising in front of a terrace of pastel houses on the Pembrokeshire coast of Wales.
About the artwork
Two big shapes do most of the work, a sweep of ochre sand and a curve of blue-green water, meeting along a soft white line of foam that runs diagonally across the middle of the sheet. The sand is warm and almost plain, with faint drag marks where the tide has pulled back. Above the waterline the detail arrives all at once: a stone harbour wall with a railing and a low white boathouse, then the headland, a grassy green mound carrying dark trees and a small ruined tower on the summit. To the right the terrace is drawn one facade at a time in pink, lemon, mint, cream and pale blue, every window and chimney picked out, with a taller peach block and a strong turquoise building closing the right edge. Beyond, the sea is pale and glittering under a soft cream sky, and a low green headland sits on the far horizon. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Wales beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The pastel terrace. Pink, lemon, mint and cream facades drawn one by one rather than merely suggested.
- A beach that carries the frame. Warm sand against cool water, split by a single clean line of surf.
- Soft Welsh coast colour. Sunlit and low in contrast, so it stays calm on a wall.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Sunlit rather than saturated, which makes it easy in bedrooms, hallways and children's rooms. It suits white, pale grey and warm sand walls, and sits happily with light oak, rattan and painted furniture. A white or natural frame keeps it airy; black gives the pastels more definition. Hang it beside the Llandudno print for a Welsh coast pair, or with Kinsale for another harbour town drawn in pastel colour.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Where is the view from? Looking down over the sheltered North Beach and the harbour wall towards Castle Hill and the pastel terrace above it.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
