This Taipei watercolor print shows Taipei 101 rising above the Xinyi District, seen from a rocky trail on Elephant Mountain. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Taipei, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The tower is washed in jade-green glass tones, with fine ink lines marking its eight stacked sections. The dense neighborhoods are drawn in small ink marks over thin cream-gray washes, and the trees are dabbed in layered greens. Glass jade and subtropical green lead the palette, with gray and cream buildings and accents of sky blue and warm stone brown. Taipei 101 stands right of center, glass towers of Xinyi gather around its base and low apartment blocks spread through the middle with a busy street cutting across on the right. Blue-violet mountains line the horizon, and drips at both lower corners soften the white border of this warm summer scene. "TAIPEI" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Hikers' viewpoint. Four hikers rest on a large boulder looking out over the city.
- Lush summer green. Thick subtropical trees frame the view in layered greens.
- Busy streets below. Scooters and cars fill the streets, and rooftop gardens dot the apartment blocks.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The jade and green tones suit a home office, a bedroom or a living room with plants and natural textures. It is a great gift for a hiker, or for someone who remembers sunset views over Taipei.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Taipei? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Taipei. The tower, neighborhoods and mountains are composed for the painting rather than copied exactly.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "TAIPEI," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
