A kitchen wall art print with a lot of air in it: a loose bunch of chillies painted in watercolour, a line of script, and an empty third below.
About the artwork
The peppers are painted without any outline — the red washes from deep to pale across each body, and large areas of bare paper are left through the middles to read as shine. The stalks are olive green put in with a dry brush, so they break up rather than sit solid. Around ten peppers overlap at different angles with their points fanning out in every direction. The script sits immediately beneath them, and the tail of the y in Spicy pulls out into a long horizontal stroke. The bottom third of the sheet is left completely empty.
Why you'll love it
- No outlines. Form built purely from wash, with bare paper for the shine.
- Ten peppers, all directions. Overlapping at angles rather than arranged.
- An empty third. The bottom of the sheet is left deliberately bare.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
This is the airiest print in the collection, so it is the one to hang where a busy poster would crowd — a small kitchen, a narrow wall, above a shelf already full of things. Red on cream suits terracotta and oak. Natural and white frames both work.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What does it say? “Stay Spicy”, written in script directly beneath the peppers.
How many chillies are there? About ten, overlapping at different angles.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
