This St. Paul's Cathedral watercolor print shows the great dome in London, seen across the Thames from the Bankside end of the Millennium Bridge. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of the City skyline, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Fine grey-brown ink outlines the dome and bell towers over light cream and lead-grey washes. The river is swept in blue with white highlights, bare trees are dabbed in orange-brown, and a thin drip runs down the left edge. Portland-stone cream, lead grey and Thames blue lead the palette, with silver steel and warm orange-brown accents. The cathedral sits at the center of the background, the bridge runs diagonally from the lower right toward it, and the glass towers of the City of London, including the Gherkin, rise on the right. Trees still holding orange leaves give it a late autumn to winter feel. "LONDON" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Old meets new. Baroque stone and a modern glass skyline share one view.
- Bridge leading line. The silver Millennium Bridge points straight to the dome.
- City at work. Construction cranes, a river boat and tiny walkers add everyday life.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Cream, grey and soft blue suit a modern living room, an office or a bedroom with grey or black accents. It is a fine gift for someone who worked in the City of London or a friend who loves architecture. Pair it with our London watercolor print for a two-piece set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of St. Paul's Cathedral? No. It is an artistic interpretation of St. Paul's Cathedral and the Thames. The season and some details are softened rather than shown exactly.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "LONDON," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
