A woodland nursery wall art print with the words "snug as a bug" above a big, goggle-eyed ladybug, set in a cloud-edged cream panel on brick-red and sage stripes. Available in portrait or landscape.
About the artwork
The hand lettering fills the top half, with "bug" written largest and boldest. Below, a ladybug with a brick-red shell and black spots looks out with big white eyes, standing on thin stick legs on a strip of sage-green grass. The art is flat and hand-drawn with rounded lettering. The cream panel has a scalloped, cloud-like edge, and the outer background is fine vertical stripes in brick red and sage green.
Portrait or landscape
Choose the orientation that fits your wall. The landscape version sets "snug as a bug" in a single line at the top, with the ladybug below on a wide panel.
Why you'll love it
- A bedtime phrase come to life. The goggle-eyed ladybug turns a classic tuck-in saying into a little joke.
- Garden colours. Brick red, sage green and cream feel fresh and cosy together.
- Two orientations. One design in portrait or landscape, so it works above a crib or a wide dresser.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Portrait: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1. Landscape: 12" x 8" through 54" x 36", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. Portrait 12" x 16" to 30" x 40"; landscape 18" x 12" to 48" x 32".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. Portrait 12" x 16" to 30" x 40"; landscape 18" x 12" to 48" x 32".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it just above the crib, where the saying belongs at tuck-in time. Sage green walls or bedding make the brick-red stripes glow. Add a ladybug soft toy or a red knitted blanket to finish the garden feel.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is the landscape version just the portrait turned sideways? No. It is the same artwork laid out again for a wide frame, so nothing is cut off.
Is the lettering all on one line? In the portrait version it is stacked over three lines; in landscape it runs as one line across the top.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
