This São Paulo watercolor print shows the twin spires and green dome of the Catedral da Sé above Praça da Sé, with the city's towers stretching to the horizon. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of São Paulo, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The gray granite cathedral is drawn with fine, dense ink lines on its spires, pinnacles and rose window, under a softly washed copper-green dome. Distant towers fade back in blue-violet layers, and the ipê blossoms are stacked dabs of powder pink. Granite gray, stone cream and palm green lead the palette, with ipê pink and copper green as accents. The cathedral sits at the center with its spires in the upper third, the stepped top of the Altino Arantes Building rises far left, and dense high-rises of the São Paulo skyline fill both sides. Royal palms, a statue on a pedestal and an avenue with a bus fill the foreground, set in the dry winter when the ipê trees flower. "SÃO PAULO" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Pink ipê blossoms. A flowering ipê tree frames the lower left in soft pink.
- City bus detail. A city bus travels the avenue as office workers cross the square.
- Skyline to the horizon. Towers fade back layer by layer to show the size of the city.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The gray and pink palette suits a modern apartment, a home office or a bedroom with blush or charcoal accents. Give it to a Paulistano living abroad or to a friend who has spent time working in the city.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of São Paulo? No. It is an artistic interpretation of São Paulo that brings the cathedral, skyline and ipê trees together in one composition.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "SÃO PAULO," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
