This Santorini watercolor print shows the blue-domed churches of Oia, a windmill on the ridge and the caldera dropping to the Aegean Sea. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Santorini, not an exact view of the island.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines trace the domes, arches, bell tower and stone steps, while the whitewashed walls are left mostly as bare paper with cool blue-violet shadows. The caldera water is built up in deep layers of cobalt, and bougainvillea is dotted in loose magenta washes. The palette pairs Aegean cobalt and whitewash with magenta flowers, a soft pink bell tower and sandy brown cliff tones. A large blue dome sits just left of center with the pink bell tower beside it, while a smaller dome and the windmill crown the slope at upper left and the cliffs fall away to the right toward dark volcanic islands. Whitewashed steps and a low flowered wall fill the foreground under bright midsummer sun, and the edges dissolve into splatter and long drips. "SANTORINI" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Tabby on the wall. A tabby cat sits on a whitewashed wall, a small detail you notice on a second look.
- Sailboat below cliffs. A white sailboat crosses the deep blue water of the caldera.
- Terrace café life. Visitors sit under umbrellas on a terrace framed by terracotta pots and pink bougainvillea.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The cobalt and white palette works well in a coastal living room, a bright bathroom or a bedroom with white linens and blue accents. It makes a warm gift for a couple who honeymooned on the island or a friend who dreams of the Greek islands.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Santorini? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Santorini, painted in a loose watercolor style rather than copied from a single viewpoint.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "SANTORINI," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
