A Sagrada Familia travel poster from the air: the basilica's stone spires pushing up out of a dense grid of terracotta rooftops, with a broad tree-lined avenue below it packed with hundreds of separately drawn figures and the Mediterranean flat on the horizon.
About the artwork
The most detailed illustration in the Europe series. It is drawn at two scales at once — the basilica gets full architectural treatment, with the crocketed spires, the sculpted nativity front and the lantern towers all distinguishable, while the surrounding Eixample blocks are reduced to a repeating rhythm of ochre walls and red-brown roofs that makes the city read as texture. The avenue in the foreground is the release valve: green canopies, pale paving and a scatter of tiny figures that gives the whole frame a sense of movement. The palette is warm terracotta and green in the lower two thirds against a pale blue sky with high cumulus. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Spain beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Rewards close looking. The crowd, the balconies and the roof terraces are all drawn individually — the print keeps giving at arm's length.
- Landmark and city in one image. You get the basilica without losing the Barcelona around it.
- Terracotta and green. A warm, busy palette that livens up a plain wall rather than calming it.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Because the image is busy, it wants space around it — a clear stretch of wall and a simple frame rather than a gallery cluster. It goes up well in a hallway or home office where people pass close enough to read the detail. Warm white and clay walls suit it; strong colour competes. Buy it larger than you think: below 16" x 24" the crowd and the rooftops start to blur together.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Why does this one need a bigger size? The illustration carries far more small detail than the rest of the series, so it holds up better at 16" x 24" and above.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
