This Roatan watercolor print shows the West End waterfront of Roatán, where weathered wooden docks and thatched palapas stand over clear turquoise water. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the Honduras island, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Clear turquoise water is layered over dark brown coral shapes, with white paper left for the glints. The docks on stilts and small wooden houses are drawn in fine ink. The view runs along the shore from a rocky, flowering point, with the docks, a palapa bar and teal and yellow cottages on the right, dive boats and kayaks in the middle, and the sandy curve of Half Moon Bay with palms and low green hills to the left. Pink hibiscus and palms fill the left foreground on a calm, warm summer day. Pink, purple and blue splashes with several drips run along the bottom inside a white paper border. "ROATÁN" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Colorful stilt houses. Teal and yellow wooden cottages and a palapa bar sit right over the water.
- Coral through clear water. Brown coral patches show beneath the turquoise, hinting at the island's snorkeling.
- Pink hibiscus accents. Coral-pink blooms in the foreground warm up the blues and greens.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Turquoise, palm green and weathered wood tones fit a coastal bathroom, a bedroom with white linens or a covered porch room. It is a fun gift for a diver who logged dives off West End, or a cruise traveler who stopped at Roatán.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Roatan? No. It is an artistic watercolor interpretation of West End and Half Moon Bay. Some details, including the viewpoint, are simplified or rearranged.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "ROATÁN," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
