A San Antonio River Walk poster looking straight down the green channel from water level. A row of golden umbrellas shades bistro tables on the left bank, big oak trunks rise through the frame into a heavy canopy, and a low stone arch bridge crosses in the middle distance with a second bridge behind it. The umbrellas throw long orange streaks across the jade water.
About the artwork
Flat vector shapes layered into deep foliage, with fine grain and no outlines, closer to a painted travel poster than a hard geometric one. The palette runs olive, moss and emerald through the leaves, jade and teal in the river, chrome and amber yellow on the umbrellas, warm sandstone and ochre on the buildings, with dark umber trunks. Details to look for are the black metal railing along the terrace, the dark spires of the cypress trees behind the bridge, the balconies on the ochre facade, the bridge arch doubled in its own reflection, and the broken ripple pattern in the foreground water. The type reads SAN ANTONIO across the top in white capitals with TEXAS below. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Shade and water — the print is mostly green and cool, which is exactly why people walk this stretch in July.
- Yellow as the anchor — the umbrella row and its reflection carry the eye from the bank into the river.
- Layered depth — trunks in front, terrace mid-ground, two bridges behind, so the print keeps opening up the longer you look.
- Plant-room friendly — the leaf greens sit naturally beside real foliage and rattan.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Deep greens want a warm neutral behind them, so cream, sand or a soft clay wall suits this better than cool grey. The ochre buildings and yellow umbrellas mean it also holds its own on a terracotta wall. It reads well in a living room over a low bookshelf, or in a dining corner where the water and shade tone the room down. In the walnut sideboard setting in the photographs above, the black frame sharpens the canopy; oak leans into the sandstone.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? There is a lot of fine foliage detail here, so bigger is better: 24" x 36" or 30" x 40" lets the leaves and reflections separate. Below 16" x 24" the canopy starts to read as one mass of green.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship rolled and unframed. Matte canvas arrives stretched and ready to hang, and framed canvas adds a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
What does the poster say? The lettering is SAN ANTONIO with TEXAS beneath it. The words River Walk are not printed on the design, although that is the stretch of the river shown.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
