A Theodore Roosevelt National Park mid-century modern print: rolling badlands striped in rust, purple and cream stretching to the horizon under towering cumulus, with a lone bison grazing among sagebrush in the foreground. The title is stacked across the top, THEODORE over a larger ROOSEVELT, above NATIONAL PARK • NORTH DAKOTA • EST 1978.
About the artwork
The two-line title and clouds fill the top third, the banded hills roll across the middle and the bison and sagebrush anchor the lower right. Warm afternoon light makes the grass glow. Theodore Roosevelt ranched in these North Dakota badlands in the 1880s, and the area became a national park in 1978.
Why you'll love it
- Bison country. A lone bison under a big prairie sky.
- Thirteen sizes. Start at 8" x 12" for a shelf or go up to 30" x 40" for a statement wall.
- Part of a matching set. Every park in this mid-century series carries the same white title and dotted subtitle, so a grid of them reads as one collection.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, color-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
It suits a den, a study or a ranch-style living room. Rust, purple and sage pair with leather and wood; an espresso frame suits it.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the color, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? 12" x 18" or 16" x 24" for a gallery wall or above a desk; 24" x 36" or larger above a sofa, mantel or bed.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
How is this different from your other Theodore Roosevelt prints? This is the mid-century modern print: a lone bison grazing in striped badlands, with the white title across the top. The vintage travel poster, WPA, screen print, retro, panoramic, oil, watercolor, illustrated and landmark Theodore Roosevelt prints are separate designs.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
