A Great Sand Dunes National Park mid-century modern print: vivid orange sand dunes with sharp crests and violet shadows sweeping toward a snow-capped mountain range under a clear teal sky. The title, GREAT SAND DUNES, sits at the top in white capitals above NATIONAL PARK • COLORADO • EST 2004.
About the artwork
The sky is open above the title, the mountains cross the middle and the dune field fills the lower half, its ridges running diagonally into the frame. Low side light makes the sand glow and stretches the shadows. The dunes here are the tallest in North America, with Star Dune rising about 750 feet.
Why you'll love it
- Simple and striking. Orange, violet and teal: three colors, one bold image.
- Thirteen sizes. Start at 8" x 12" for a shelf or go up to 30" x 40" for a statement wall.
- Part of a matching set. Every park in this mid-century series carries the same white title and dotted subtitle, so a grid of them reads as one collection.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, color-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Its clean shapes suit a minimal living room, an office or a stairwell. Orange and teal pop on white walls with black accents; a black frame sharpens the crests.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the color, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? 12" x 18" or 16" x 24" for a gallery wall or above a desk; 24" x 36" or larger above a sofa, mantel or bed.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
How is this different from your other Great Sand Dunes prints? This is the mid-century modern print: orange dunes with violet shadows below snowy peaks, with the white title across the top. The vintage travel poster, WPA, screen print, retro, panoramic, oil, watercolor, illustrated and landmark Great Sand Dunes prints are separate designs.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
