A retro gaming wall art print in Japanese ad style: a grey wired game controller sits near the top of cream paper while a rainbow flows down from its centre and widens toward the bottom, framed by large katakana and blocks of Japanese and English text.
About the artwork
The controller is drawn with soft shadows, four symbol buttons (triangle, circle, square and cross) and two black analog sticks. The rainbow runs red, orange, yellow, green, teal and blue with a grainy printed texture, and faint wave patterns sit in the corners. A round black symbol mark is placed at the lower left and a seal at the lower right. The text printed on the art reads: プレイステーション (as the title and repeated); SONY, a PS logo, SELECT, START, ANALOG, L and R on the controller; Play Station®; SONY; a paragraph of Japanese at the left; 紛褒育すなエンタープライズ; and the seal 遊戯. The Japanese paragraph is reproduced as printed and does not form correct sentences. SONY and the PlayStation names and logo are trademarks of their owner; this is an independent decorative print, not an official or licensed product. Retro. Portrait.
Why you'll love it
- Gamer nostalgia. A playful tribute to console gaming.
- Rainbow energy. Bright colour that works in plain rooms.
- Made for game rooms. Also great in a teen room or a studio.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it above a gaming setup, a TV console or a desk. A black frame suits a media room; white keeps it bright. It makes a fun pair with the handheld console rainbow print.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an official Sony poster? No. The names are printed as part of the design; this is an independent decorative print.
What does the large katakana say? プレイステーション is the Japanese spelling of the console name printed on the design.
Does it suit a kid's room? Yes, the rainbow and controller are bright and friendly.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
