This Redwood National Park watercolor print shows giant coast redwoods rising along a narrow forest road in Northern California, with a Roosevelt elk standing among the ferns. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the forest, not an exact view.
About the artwork
The trunks are built from long cinnamon and orange washes, with fine ink lines for the deeply furrowed bark, and ferns and leaves are dotted in clear greens with hanging moss in yellow-green. Long orange-brown drips and splatter gather at the lower left. A huge redwood trunk stands center right with more giants behind, its top fading into the white paper, and a small dirt road winds from the center to the lower right. A moss-covered fallen log with an elk sits on the left, and sword ferns and redwood sorrel with tiny white flowers fill the foreground. Soft filtered light places it in midsummer. "REDWOOD" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Roosevelt elk. A big-antlered elk stands on a mossy fallen log at left.
- Car on the forest road. A small silver car and two backpackers on the road show how tall the trees are.
- Tall vertical sweep. The trunks run up the full height of the print, pulling the eye toward the sky.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Cinnamon, fern green and mossy gold suit a cabin living room, a bedroom, a hallway or a nursery with warm wood and earthy textures. It is a lovely gift for a tree lover, a coastal road-tripper or someone who camped among the redwoods.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Redwood National Park? No. It is an artistic interpretation of an old-growth redwood grove; the tops of the trunks fade into the paper, and other details are simplified.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "REDWOOD," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
