This Puebla watercolor print shows Puebla Cathedral beside the Zócalo, seen from a rooftop terrace, with the snow-capped Popocatépetl volcano behind. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the city center, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Dense fine ink lines and layered gray washes describe the cathedral stone, while Talavera tiles are painted as cobalt dots on white. The left edge and bottom dissolve into pink, purple and blue, with a long drip at the lower left and splatter around a white paper border. Stone gray, Talavera blue and brick red lead the palette, with tree greens and accents of bougainvillea pink, jacaranda purple and volcano snow. The view looks west from east of the Zócalo: the cathedral's two bell towers and tiled dome rise on the left, the tree-shaded square sits in the middle, and tiled colonial facades line the right. Talavera pots spill flowers across the terrace in the foreground, under a clear, dry winter sky. "PUEBLA" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Talavera tile details. Blue-and-white pots and tiled facades fill the scene with pattern.
- Volcano on the horizon. The white cone of Popocatépetl rises over the rooftops.
- Balloons and jacaranda. A balloon seller in the square and a purple jacaranda by the cathedral add color.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Cobalt, white and brick red fit a kitchen, dining room or entryway with blue-and-white ceramics. A meaningful gift for someone from Puebla or a lover of Mexican tile and pottery.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Puebla? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Puebla in a watercolor style, with some buildings simplified for the composition.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "PUEBLA," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
