A Provo, Utah travel poster looking up a curved flagstone path across a wide lawn. At the end of it stands a red brick Victorian Gothic building — steep dark slate roofs, pointed gables, arched windows and a tall clock tower topped by a black spire and a small gold finial. Behind it the bare Wasatch foothills rise in tawny gold and rust, ribbed with shadowed gullies.
About the artwork
Flat vector shapes with hard edges, but the light is the real subject: long late-afternoon shadows from off-frame trees fall in flat blue-grey bands across the lawn and the paving. The palette is only a few colours doing a lot — deep brick red and rust for the walls, near-black charcoal for the roofs and spire, bone white for the window trim and cornices, three greens for turf and canopy, and gold-ochre with mauve shadow for the mountain. The path is a warm sandstone cream and takes up the whole bottom third, drawing you in. Typography is white in the sky: PROVO above UTAH. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Brick against bare mountain — a dark red Gothic silhouette set straight in front of dry gold hillside.
- The shadow work — the striped lawn and paving give the print depth without any shading or blur.
- A path you walk into — the curving flagstone leads the eye from the bottom edge to the clock tower.
- Utah Valley, not the red rock — a campus-town view for people who lived here, not another canyon.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Brick red and gold hillside want a neutral ground. Warm white, oatmeal or a pale putty wall lets the tower stand out, and the terracotta room in the photographs above picks the brick up directly. In a study, a black frame matches the slate roofs and keeps it crisp; natural oak leans it warmer and more nostalgic.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The brickwork and window tracery are fine, so 24" x 36" over a desk or console does them justice. On a gallery wall, 12" x 18" keeps the tower silhouette readable.
Does it come framed? Paper ships rolled and unframed. Matte canvas is stretched and ready to hang. Framed canvas comes in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
What does the poster say? Two lines of white capitals at the top: PROVO, with UTAH below. The clock face on the tower has no readable numerals and there is no other text.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
