A power always wears black newspaper poster: a mock front page with a stacked four-word headline on the left and two pairs of legs in glossy black heels on the right, all in black and white.
About the artwork
LATEST OBSERVATIONS SHOW tops the left column, and Power, Always, Wears and Black stack down in large slanted type, one word per line. Under them, a smaller section titled LA VIE EN NOIR? praises black as the shade that never goes out of style. The legs are cut out with no photo frame, so the patent shoes and sheer tights sit directly on the white page. Two heels touch toe to toe in the middle, which gives the design a quiet symmetry. The text and legs balance each other like a real fashion column.
Why you'll love it
- A love letter to black. Ideal for anyone whose closet runs mostly dark.
- Fits a narrow wall. The stacked headline and tall legs suit slim spaces between doors.
- Chic in any room. Monochrome fashion that blends with modern and classic decor.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it in a walk-in closet, an entry by the shoe rack or above a bedroom dresser. A black frame matches the theme, while a white frame keeps the page clean and graphic. Pair it with the eight ball boots front page in this range for two fashion pages with cut-out legs.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is there a photo frame on the page? No, the legs are cut out and sit right on the white newspaper page.
Is there a lot of text? Yes, besides the headline there is a short paragraph about why black is always in style.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
