A Park Guell poster drawn from the top of the terrace: the serpentine mosaic bench winding down through the frame in broken tile, palms leaning in from both margins, and the whole grid of Barcelona spread out below to a flat blue sea.
About the artwork
The bench does the drawing. It enters at the bottom edge as a broad band of tilework and snakes back into the picture in three long curves, so the eye travels up the page instead of across it. Each panel carries a different scheme — cobalt and turquoise chips, then a run of rust, ochre and cream, then a stripe of pure gold — and the pieces are drawn one by one, down to the pale grout between them. The terrace floor beside it is flat sand-coloured stone, deliberately empty, which is what lets the mosaic carry. Palms and fan palms crowd both sides in three separate greens. Beyond the parapet the city goes soft: mile after mile of low ochre blocks in a rigid grid, thinning to a hazy coast and a bank of cumulus. Title in wide-tracked uppercase reading BARCELONA, with Spain beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The bench tile by tile. Drawn as individual pieces rather than a texture, so it still reads up close.
- Three distances in one frame. Mosaic underfoot, palms in the middle, a whole city and the sea behind.
- Turquoise against terracotta. Cool tile over warm stone, which is why the colour holds a wall.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The colour is loud in a controlled way, so it wants a quiet wall — chalk white, warm sand or pale clay — and room to breathe. It sits well above a low sideboard in oak or cane, near ceramic and unglazed terracotta, and the turquoise picks up nicely against brass. A natural oak frame follows the sandy terrace; black frames sharpen the tile. It hangs comfortably beside the Seville or Lisbon prints if you are building a southern-Europe wall.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Is this the whole city or just the park? This design stays on the park terrace and its mosaic bench, with the city only as a distant view. There is a separate Barcelona print in the store if you want the city itself as the subject.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
