This Olympic National Park watercolor print shows the spruce-topped sea stacks of Ruby Beach on the Washington coast, with silver driftwood piled near the mouth of Cedar Creek. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the beach, not an exact view.
About the artwork
The sea stacks are washed in deep gray-brown with fine ink cracks, and the surf is left as white paper for foam. Driftwood is bare paper edged in thin ink, and the lower left breaks into yellow, orange and violet drips and splatter. The stacks stand in the surf in the middle ground, the tallest just left of center, and the dark pebble beach and Cedar Creek mouth run diagonally to the lower right. A spruce bluff rises on the left, the Pacific horizon with a small flat island sits behind, and heaps of weathered driftwood fill the foreground. Orange-red shrubs and crisp air point to late autumn. "OLYMPIC" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Heron at the creek. A heron stands in the shallows where Cedar Creek meets the beach.
- Beachcombers on the shore. A few small groups walk the beach past tide pools that mirror the sky.
- Moody coastal tones. Slate, silver and blue-gray give the print a quiet Pacific Northwest feel.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Slate gray, silver and spruce green suit a coastal living room, a bedroom or a bathroom with driftwood, linen or charcoal accents. It is a thoughtful gift for a beachcomber, a storm watcher or someone who drove the loop around the Olympic Peninsula.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Olympic National Park? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Ruby Beach; the sea stacks are reshaped a little, and some details are simplified.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "OLYMPIC," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
