This Notre-Dame Paris watercolor print shows the Gothic cathedral rising above the Seine in Paris, seen from the Left Bank quay with trees in pink blossom. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of the riverside, not an exact view of it.
About the artwork
Detailed gray-brown ink picks out the rose window, flying buttresses and slender spire, with a light wash of golden-gray stone laid over it. The Seine is brushed in horizontal blue strokes with bright streaks, and the blossom is dabbed in soft pink blooms. Notre-Dame de Paris stands in the middle-right background with its two western towers, while the stone arches of Pont de l'Archevêché cross the river on the left and cream houses with zinc roofs line the Île de la Cité. In the left foreground, a riverside walkway runs diagonally into the picture past a row of green bouquinistes' stalls. The season is early spring, and a long yellow drip runs down the lower left edge. "PARIS" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Bookstalls on the quay. Green booksellers' stalls with tiny readers lead your eye along the river toward the cathedral.
- Barge and tour boat. A slow cargo barge and a glass-roofed tour boat drift along the blue Seine.
- Gothic detail in ink. Fine linework traces the rose window, buttresses and spire without losing the soft watercolor feel.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.

- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Soft river blue, golden stone and blossom pink sit well in a bedroom, a reading nook or a living room with cream and sage tones. It makes a thoughtful gift for a Francophile, a book lover or anyone who strolled the Seine quays on a spring trip. Pair it with our Paris watercolor print for a two-piece set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Notre-Dame Paris? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Notre-Dame and the Seine, and a few details, such as where the bookstalls sit along the quay, are simplified or rearranged.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "PARIS," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
