This New Delhi watercolor print shows India Gate at the end of Kartavya Path, with the domed canopy and its statue framed through the arch. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of New Delhi, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines outline the stone blocks of the gate, its shallow dome and the chhatri canopy, and a long canal is washed in blue with soft reflections. Sandy beige stone, lawn green and canal blue lead the palette, with pink sandstone paths, bright balloons and orange roses as accents. The gate stands at center with its top near the upper third, the canal runs from the lower right toward it, and families picnic on the lawn at left. A red sandstone path with lampposts leads up the middle, while domed buildings and trees fade on both sides. "NEW DELHI" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Balloon seller. A vendor holds a bunch of colorful balloons near the path.
- Cycle rickshaw. A pedal rickshaw rolls past families on the lawn.
- Rose foreground. Orange roses warm the lower edge of the print.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The beige and green tones work in a hallway, home office or living room with olive, sand or rust accents. It makes a proud gift for someone from Delhi or a keepsake after a first trip to India.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of New Delhi? No. It is an artistic interpretation of India Gate and Kartavya Path. Background buildings and some details are added or simplified to balance the scene.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "NEW DELHI," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
