A Wilmington Delaware travel poster taken from the top of a garden walk on the edge of the city. Stone balustrades run away on both sides, a wide pale gravel path drops toward a long formal parterre, a single fountain jet rises in the middle distance, and a French-style limestone chateau with a slate mansard roof closes the view at the far end, framed by mature trees.
About the artwork
Flat vector shapes with hard edges and strong one-point perspective, the whole composition pulled to a centre line. The palette is deliberately narrow: warm limestone cream and pale sand on the house, the balustrades and the gravel; deep teal and blue-green through the trees, hedges and lawn; and a flat mid-blue sky with no clouds. Long cast shadows fall across the path in the same blue-green, drawn as separate flat blocks. The facade shows paired columns and pilasters, tall arched windows, dormers and four chimneys, with clipped topiary and low box hedging stepping down toward the water basin. The title is set in white capitals: WILMINGTON, with DELAWARE below. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Formal symmetry — the balustrades and centred path make this one of the most orderly prints in the series; it hangs well on its own.
- A French chateau in Delaware — mansard roof, parterre and fountain, all sitting an hour from Philadelphia.
- Cream and teal only — a two-colour scheme that stays quiet in a room full of other things.
- For garden visitors — the view down the main axis, as you get it walking out from the house.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Cream stone and cool teal make this an easy fit for pale, formal rooms: chalk white, greige, dove grey, and the sage green wall in the photographs above. It is one of the few prints in the series that suits a gilt frame, since the subject is already classical. Over a bed with linen bedding, or in a hallway where the perspective can pull the eye down the wall, it does its best work.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The facade detail is small in the frame, so 18" x 24" is the practical minimum. 24" x 36" lets the columns, dormers and topiary all read from a few steps back.
Does it come framed? Paper arrives rolled and unframed for your own frame. Matte canvas is stretched and ready to hang, and framed canvas comes in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
What does the poster say? WILMINGTON in large white capitals at the top, with DELAWARE spaced out in smaller capitals beneath it. The house and garden are not named on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
