A kids playroom wall art print of a mouse in a striped shirt holding a red balloon printed with a yellow star. Available in portrait or landscape.
About the artwork
The mouse stands angled to the left, holding the string of its balloon, which floats in the upper left corner. It wears a petrol blue and cream horizontal-striped shirt with mustard vertically striped trousers, and has a long pink tail. The brick red balloon carries a single yellow star. The background is a plain cream-grey, and the gouache-style painting with visible brush strokes has a soft Scandinavian feel.
Portrait or landscape
Choose the orientation that fits your wall. The landscape version is drawn for the wider format rather than cropped: the mouse and balloon are smaller and drawn closer together in the middle.
Why you'll love it
- A little celebration. A mouse with a star balloon feels like a birthday morning.
- Soft Nordic colours. Petrol blue, mustard, brick red and cream on a quiet grey ground.
- Two orientations. One design in portrait or landscape, so it works above a crib or a wide dresser.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Portrait: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1. Landscape: 12" x 8" through 54" x 36", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. Portrait 12" x 16" to 30" x 40"; landscape 18" x 12" to 48" x 32".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. Portrait 12" x 16" to 30" x 40"; landscape 18" x 12" to 48" x 32".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang the portrait version above a craft table, or the landscape version along a low window seat. Oak or white frames suit the Scandi-style palette. Repeat the petrol blue stripes in a rug or bedding.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is the landscape version just the portrait turned sideways? No. It is the same artwork laid out again for a wide frame, so nothing is cut off.
Which frame works best? Natural oak or white frames keep the soft palette calm; black adds a crisper edge.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
