A Mostar travel poster from downstream: the old bridge arching in a single pale span between its two stone towers, houses and a slim minaret stacked up the banks on both sides, and the Neretva running out toward the viewer in an almost unreal turquoise.
About the artwork
The river colour is the whole reason to make this print, and the drawing pushes it — a saturated green-turquoise laid in flat with darker bands in the deeps and pale scribbled highlights where it runs over rock, against warm bone limestone on every bank. That single opposition, cold water and warm stone, carries the image; there is almost no third colour except the dark green of the scrub. The bridge is drawn stone by stone with its stepped approaches and the two towers given separate window openings and roofs. The foreground is broken karst boulders, which frames the water and stops it from running off the bottom edge. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Bosnia & Herzegovina beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Turquoise you would not believe from a photograph. Flat colour makes it more convincing, not less.
- One arch, perfectly centred. A simple, stable composition that hangs straight anywhere.
- Stone and water, nothing else. Two colours doing all the work.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Warm limestone with a cold river makes this an easy print to place — it works on cream, sand and clay walls and picks up wood and rattan in the room. Natural and walnut frames both suit it; white keeps it fresh. It pairs naturally with the Kotor or Plitvice prints, all three sharing the same green-water Balkan palette.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Where is the view from? From the rocks downstream of the bridge, looking back up the river at the arch.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
