A malmo travel poster built around empty space: a wide pale stone promenade running away from you, low planters and sea grasses along its edges, flat blue water on the left, and the white twisting tower standing alone against a cloudless sky.
About the artwork
More than half the sheet is plain blue, and the design depends on it. The tower is drawn as nine stacked blocks rotating around a spine, each face carrying a fine grid of small windows, with a dark exposed steel column tracing the twist up its right side — pale grey-white on the sunlit faces, cool blue in the shade, so the turn reads clearly from a distance. The promenade takes the bottom half in large irregular sand-cream slabs, drawn with hairline joints and a light freckle of speckles, curving slightly as it recedes. Down both sides sit low pale concrete benches and planters, small grey-blue post lamps and clumps of dry green grasses. A rough boulder revetment drops to the water on the left, with a low breakwater on the horizon and a strip of small buildings and slim masts on the right. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Sweden beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- A modern landmark. Contemporary architecture rather than another old town square, which is rare in travel prints.
- Genuine open space. Big flat areas of blue and sand, so it calms a wall instead of filling it.
- Hot, still light. No cloud, no people, no wind on the water — the whole thing is held at midday.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The most contemporary print of the group, so it belongs in contemporary rooms — a home office, a new-build hallway, a living room with clean lines. It looks best on white, chalk and pale grey where the blue can act as the accent, and beside pale birch, brushed steel, glass and a single green plant. Frame it thin: black or white, minimal mount. It pairs directly with the ARoS Aarhus print as a modern Nordic architecture set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Is the whole building shown? Yes, from the base at the waterfront to the top block, which is why so much of the sheet is left as open sky around it.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
