A black and white make yourself a priority poster: bold black brush capitals across an 1851 New York newspaper page with dense columns of small type.
About the artwork
The three lines, MAKE, YOURSELF and A PRIORITY, tilt slightly and sweep across the page. Behind them sits a full old newspaper page, with a masthead at the top, a date line and many narrow columns of tiny text. The paper has a faint ivory tone that softens the black and white. The brush strokes are thick and glossy against the fine print, so the message stays readable even over so much detail. The old page adds age and texture, and the modern words give it a personal, reminder-like message.
Why you'll love it
- A daily reminder. A message about self-care that suits a bedroom, a home office or a dressing area.
- Texture without color. The newsprint columns add interest to a wall while staying neutral.
- Reads at a distance. The brush capitals are large enough to see from across the room.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it above a desk or a bedside table, or on a hallway wall. A black frame emphasizes the ink, and a natural wood frame suits the vintage paper. It pairs well with other vintage newspaper style prints in a warm monochrome gallery wall.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is the newspaper a real page? The background is an 1851 New York newspaper page, used as a textured layer under the lettering.
Can you read the small print? On large sizes you can make out the columns, but they work mostly as texture behind the big words.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
