This Lyon flower market wall art print crowns a hill with a white basilica above pink rooftops, cypress trees and lavender. It's a stylized, imaginative take on Lyon, an artistic interpretation inspired by the city rather than a literal view.
About the artwork
A digital watercolor-style illustration with an opaque, gouache-like finish and flat color fields. A white basilica sits on a hilltop, above pink-roofed houses and a line of cypress trees. Lavender, daisies and sunflowers fill the bottom in purple, white and yellow, with navy shadows. A flat pink-violet sky sits above, with "FLOWER MARKET" in pinkish purple and "Lyon" handwritten in golden orange.
Why you'll love it
- Lavender dream. Purple and lilac tones feel soft and romantic.
- French countryside mood. Cypress trees and lavender give a sunny southern feel.
- Unusual pink sky. A rose-violet sky makes it stand out from typical city prints.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
It fits a bedroom, dressing area or living room with lilac, blush and cream. A charming gift for a Francophile or someone who spent time in Lyon.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Lyon? No. It's an artistic interpretation: a hilltop basilica, pink rooftops and lavender fields arranged into a dreamlike scene, not an exact view.
What text is printed on it? "FLOWER MARKET" across the top, "CITIES & FLOWERS COLLECTION", "NO.003" and "Lyon" in handwritten script.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
