About the artwork
The river is an unusual colour and the print leans on it: a jade green-teal, worked with drawn highlights where the light catches, running as a broad diagonal from the top right down through the frame. Against it everything built is pale — white stone balustrades, cream and buttermilk facades, the one salmon-pink church that pulls the eye across the water. The roofs supply the warmth in a band of terracotta along the far bank. In the foreground the colonnade is drawn column by column with awnings, market stalls and a crowd of small separate figures, which is what makes the print feel like a working city rather than a monument. Styling it at home
Jade, terracotta and cream is a warm and slightly unusual combination that suits cream, sand and pale green walls and sits well with wood and rattan. Natural oak frames work best; black flattens the water. What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.

Paper prints ship rolled in a rigid tube. Canvas and framed canvas are boxed with corner guards.
Damage, defects & care
Every piece is printed for you after you order, so we cannot take a print back for a change of mind — please check the size and material first. Our Size Guide shows every size drawn to scale.
If it arrives damaged, misprinted or simply wrong, email us within 14 days with photos of the piece and the packaging. We reprint and reship it free, and there is nothing to send back.
Keep artwork out of direct sunlight. Wipe framed canvas with a dry, soft cloth. Handle paper prints by the edges until they are framed.
