This Little Rock watercolor print shows the Arkansas State Capitol framed at the end of Capitol Avenue, with blooming magnolia branches in the foreground. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Little Rock, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Clear watercolor washes and fine brown ink outline the dome, the lantern and the old brick and stone buildings along the street. Green and limestone gray lead the palette, accented by pink-cream magnolia petals, a gold lantern, red brick and blue hills. The symmetrical view looks straight down the avenue to the domed Capitol at center, with a magnolia canopy on the left and a range of blue hills behind. Magnolias in full bloom set the season in late spring. Wet pink washes drip down the lower left edge, and yellow, pink and blue splatter dots scatter around a white paper border. "LITTLE ROCK" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Magnolia blossoms. Large pink-cream magnolia flowers frame the left side of the scene.
- Centered Capitol dome. A gold-topped lantern crowns the dome at the far end of the avenue.
- Small city moments. A pedestrian in the crosswalk, a jogger, passing cars and American flags add life.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Soft greens and blush pink suit a bedroom, a guest room or an entryway with white or light gray walls. Give it to a friend starting a new chapter in Arkansas, or to anyone who calls Little Rock home.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Little Rock? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Little Rock. Some details, like the hills in the background, are simplified and drawn a little taller than in real life.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "LITTLE ROCK," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
