A Lincoln Nebraska travel poster of the capitol tower seen from the lawn. A single limestone shaft rises out of a low, wide base, its vertical piers running unbroken to a colonnaded crown, and it is finished with a ribbed dome of gold tile. Shade trees frame both edges, a broad flight of steps climbs the lawn, and a rectangular reflecting pool cuts across the bottom right corner.
About the artwork
Flat vector shapes with a low viewpoint that exaggerates the tower's height, and a sky worked as a deep blue gradient with thin streaked cirrus and one bank of white cumulus on the right. The palette is warm stone against cold sky: cream, buff and shadowed tan for the limestone, saturated cobalt and steel blue overhead, mown olive and grass green below, and a single hot accent of marigold gold on the dome. Small details include lamp standards on the steps and pink flowering beds at the edges. Typography is white at the top: LINCOLN in wide capitals with NEBRASKA below. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- A capitol that looks like a skyscraper — the vertical deco shaft is unlike any other statehouse in the country.
- The gold dome — one small patch of marigold that carries the whole print.
- Big prairie sky — a deep blue gradient with real cloud structure rather than a flat wash.
- Ground-level framing — trees, steps and a reflecting pool put you on the lawn instead of overhead.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The cobalt sky is strong, so a plain warm wall suits it best: white, bone or a pale sand. Against a navy or deep teal wall the limestone and the gold dome both lift. Gold and brass frames echo the dome directly — the arched niche in the photographs above shows that pairing; black frames lean into the deco geometry instead.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The tower reads clearly even small, so 12" x 18" or A3 works in a hallway. Go to 24" x 36" or A1 if you want the window piers and the ribbed dome sharp.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. The framed canvas option arrives in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural, ready to hang.
What does the poster say? LINCOLN in white capitals at the top, with NEBRASKA in smaller spaced letters beneath. This is the city of Lincoln, Nebraska rather than any memorial.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
