A Letchworth State Park poster drawn from a rock ledge inside the gorge. The Upper Falls drops in a broad white curtain across the middle of the frame, the Genesee River runs out toward the viewer in a churn of foam, striated shale cliffs rise on both sides, and the arch bridge crosses the gap high overhead against a single tall cloud.
About the artwork
Detailed hard-edged shapes with visible layering rather than smooth blends, closer to a screen print than a flat vector. The palette is warm rock against cool water: ochre, tan and rust in the horizontal cliff bedding, four or five greens from lit canopy to deep shadow, cream and pale blue-grey in the falling water, and a teal-green river. The bridge arch is drawn in pale stone with the deck line running above it. In the lower left a slab of ledge juts into frame with tufts of grass on it, giving the whole gorge its scale. The type reads LETCHWORTH with NEW YORK beneath it, in white. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Bridge and falls together — the single view that makes this gorge recognisable, with the arch framing the sky above the water.
- Rock drawn as strata — the cliff bedding is cut into dozens of separate bands, which is most of the texture in the print.
- A ledge in the foreground — you are standing on rock, not floating above the scene.
- Deep greens and warm stone — the richest, most saturated landscape in this series.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Ochre cliffs and forest green make this a warm print despite the water, so it works on cream, olive or a soft clay wall and looks at home in a study lined with wood. The walnut sideboard and terracotta wall in the photographs above pick up the rock bedding almost exactly. Espresso and natural frames suit it best; white frames make the cliffs look washed out.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? There is a lot of small detail in the strata and the foam, so go larger than you think. Above a desk, 18" x 24"; on a feature wall, 24" x 36" or 30" x 40".
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship rolled and unframed. Matte canvas is stretched and ready to hang, and framed canvas comes in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
What does the poster say? The printed type reads LETCHWORTH with NEW YORK below it. The words State Park do not appear on the artwork.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
