This Lake Louise watercolor print shows the turquoise lake stretching toward Victoria Glacier and Mount Victoria, with red canoes drifting across the water. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the Canadian Rockies lake, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Clear turquoise washes form the lake, with a horizontal band of bare paper standing in for reflected light. Fine ink lines trace the cliffs and spruce forest, and the left edge and bottom dissolve into multicolored splatter and a long drip. The palette pairs turquoise water with deep moss-green spruce, snow white and gray-violet rock, lifted by red canoes. The view runs west down the lake from the eastern shore, with Victoria Glacier draped over Mount Victoria at the far end, Fairview Mountain's gray face on the left, and a wooden canoe dock and boulders in the lower left. Snow still caps the peaks under bright midsummer light. "LAKE LOUISE" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Red canoe accents. A dock lined with red canoes and three more paddled across the lake give the cool palette a warm spark.
- Glacier at center. Victoria Glacier sits right at the end of the lake, so the eye travels straight down the water to it.
- Alpine summer light. Clear blue sky, dark spruce and snowy peaks capture a bright midsummer day in the Rockies.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The turquoise and spruce green suit a living room or bedroom with natural wood, cream textiles or sage accents, and it reads well in a cabin-style entryway. Give it to someone who paddled the lake on a Rockies trip or dreams of going.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Lake Louise? No. It is an artistic watercolor interpretation of Lake Louise, and some foreground details are simplified or rearranged.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "LAKE LOUISE," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
