A Lake Eola Orlando poster shot from the water's edge just after sunset. The ribbed fountain dome sits low on the lake, lit green from inside, with a tall white jet climbing straight up out of it. Downtown towers stand behind in silhouette with their windows burning gold, and everything breaks into long vertical ribbons on the dark water below.
About the artwork
The only night piece of its kind here, and the drawing changes to suit it: hard-edged shapes still, but lit from within rather than by the sun. The palette runs from deep indigo and violet in the sky through petrol blue on the lake, with jade and pale mint on the illuminated dome, warm cream and amber for the office windows and lamp posts, and near-black for the tree branches framing the top corners and the far shoreline. Roughly the lower half of the poster is reflection alone, drawn as broken horizontal strokes. The type reads ORLANDO in white capitals with FLORIDA beneath it. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Twilight rather than daylight — a rare dark travel print, and it holds a room in the evening when lamps are on.
- The fountain as the light source — the jade dome is the brightest thing in the frame and every reflection comes from it.
- Half the image is water — the reflected skyline gives it an abstract lower half that reads well from across a room.
- Orlando away from the parks — the downtown lake locals walk in the evening, not a theme park.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Dark prints need light around them. On a white or bone wall this one reads as a deep block of blue, which is exactly what you want above a bed or a dark sofa. The rust-toned bedroom in the photographs above shows the amber window lights picking up warm bedding. Black and espresso frames disappear into the image; a natural oak frame gives it a border and keeps it from sinking into a dark wall.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Dark images gain from scale. Choose 24" x 36" over a bed or sofa; in a hallway or a small study 16" x 24" still keeps the reflection legible.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship rolled and unframed. Matte canvas is stretched and ready to hang, and framed canvas comes in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. Matte canvas is the better choice here, since it kills the glare that glass would throw across a dark image.
What does the poster say? The printed type reads ORLANDO with FLORIDA below it. Lake Eola Park is the setting but is not named on the artwork.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
